HISTORIA DE FUNDACION JONATHAN

Twenty-four years ago, Catalina Avilés decided to create the Jonathan Foundation in memory of my only son, who at the tender age of 8 was kidnapped and murdered by his captors. His dream was to be a doctor and help the most vulnerable, the neediest, children, and the elderly.

Throughout our history, we have made this dream a reality by integrating specialized medical care such as general medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, dentistry, neurophysiotherapy, speech and language therapy, and physical therapy, complemented by the delivery of medications. Our clients receive breakfast, snacks, and lunch, food and hygiene kits, and school supplies, as well as occupational workshops, among others, all of which are lovingly conducted by our staff.

In the last two years, we have strengthened our services, with completely renovated physiotherapy, speech therapy, dentistry, and kitchen areas, to provide a comprehensive service with quality and warmth. Our solidarity reaches out to the rural neighborhoods of the province of Pichincha and its surrounding areas.

But we don't do this alone. Day after day, we work on our own initiative to meet the needs of our 700 families, thanks to our sponsors, companies, and organizations that support us and are part of our history.
