• Quito, March 7, 2025 – The Jonathan Foundation is pleased to announce its "Fanesca with Heart" charity campaign, a delicious initiative that seeks to unite the community around the culinary tradition of fanesca and, at the same time, raise vital funds to support those most in need.

• The initiative seeks to raise $8,000 to purchase wheelchairs and oxygen tanks for children and senior citizens of the Foundation.

Fanesca, an emblematic dish of Ecuadorian Holy Week, becomes the centerpiece of this campaign, symbolizing family unity, tradition, and solidarity. The Jonathan Foundation invites everyone to enjoy this exquisite delicacy and, in doing so, contribute to a worthy cause: raising $8,000 to support food, nutrition, and health programs and projects aimed at improving the quality of life of 750 children, senior citizens, single mothers, and homeless people served by the Foundation.

"With each plate of fanesca, we are offering much more than food; we are providing hope and improving the quality of life of those who need it most," said Catalina Avilés, director of the Jonathan Foundation. "This campaign is an opportunity for the community to join in an act of shared generosity."

The funds raised will be used for:

• The purchase of postural wheelchairs for children with disabilities to improve mobility and mobility.

• The purchase of oxygen tanks, medicines, and special supplies, essential for children facing respiratory problems and catastrophic illnesses.

• Purchase foods such as protein, canned goods, grains, fruits, and vegetables for the food and nutrition program, which provides 400 daily servings of breakfast, lunch, and snacks to users.
