A BACKPACK, A DREAM, FOR A RETURN TO SCHOOL FULL OF ILLUSION

Quito, July 2, 2025 – At the Jonathan Foundation, hope is woven through concrete actions. Beyond education, our mission embraces life in all its facets, providing comprehensive support to children and adolescents with disabilities and catastrophic illnesses, as well as to older adults, through programs that seek to improve their quality of life and ensure their well-being. It is with this same spirit of commitment that we launched "One Backpack, One Dream," a school supplies and backpack collection campaign aimed at transforming the lives of 1,500 children and adolescents in rural communities. Our goal is clear: to ensure a dignified return to school full of opportunities in September. To achieve this, we call for solidarity from across the country.

Education is the key that opens the doors to the future, and every donation is one step closer to helping our children continue their studies. "One Backpack, One Dream" seeks to collect backpacks and school supplies—new or in good condition—such as notebooks, books, markers, paints, foam core, crayons, pens, construction paper, pencils, pencil cases, scissors, erasers, rulers, among others. The goal is to equip 1,500 beneficiaries in the rural neighborhoods of Quito, Guangaje, Huarcay, Nono, and Cotacachi.
