Jonathan Foundation, a non-profit social organization, Ministerial Agreement No. 0201 MIES, is pleased to announce its twenty-fourth anniversary. The organization was founded by its president, Catalina Avilés, inspired by fulfilling the dream of her only son, who was sadly kidnapped and murdered at the age of 8. Its founder decided to establish the Foundation to carry out social work serving the neediest people.
During its long history, its management has focused on providing comprehensive social services to address the basic nutritional and health needs of children with catastrophic illnesses, older adults, mothers, homeless people, and people on the move.
Every day, the Foundation serves 300 children and 700 older adults in extremely vulnerable situations, providing food services (breakfast and lunch) and medical care, as well as providing food and hygiene kits, and other items necessary for their development. Its hard work has focused on priority care groups in the province of Pichincha and its surrounding areas.
In commemoration of its 24th anniversary, the Jonathan Foundation will hold a religious ceremony on Friday, September 27, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. The ceremony will take place at its main office located at Julio Endara Street N13-103 and Sodiro, across from the ECU-911 highway. On this day, the Foundation is pleased to inaugurate the Jonathan Food Bank in Quito, a social organization created with the goal of reducing chronic childhood malnutrition and guaranteeing nutrition and food security in Quito and its surrounding areas. The organization invites businesses and the general public to join this initiative.
The Foundation invites the public to visit its headquarters and benefit from its medical services, which include general medicine, pediatrics, pediatric neurophysiotherapy, geriatrics, psychology, physical therapy, psychological therapy, speech therapy, and dentistry. Support its initiatives and fundraising campaigns and make donations of food, medicine, school supplies, and supplies, essential for providing care to its beneficiaries. Donations are accepted at the facility.
Thank you to the sponsors, private companies, and organizations that have contributed to the achievements made during its 24 years of existence.
Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a difference in the lives of our beneficiaries, providing them with hope and opportunities for a better future.
